Lazenby Equipment was founded in 1999 by its Owner/President, Scott Lazenby and is managed by family and long time co-workers. Prior to 1999 we ran a landscape/lawn maintance company, Lazenbys Landscaping, for 15 years. During this time we bought, ran, rented, & worked on many different makes and models of outdoor power equipment, thus we know the needs of landscapers and equipment owners alike. When Lazenbys decided to go into the equipment sales business, we had a good understanding of the market and had success immediately. Lazenbys started with Yanmar tractors in 1999 and has grown ever since, expanding our product line and opening a second store in Micanopy, Fl in January of 2011. We have distinguished ourselves in Sales, Parts, Rentals, & Service through our yearly growth.
Our Sales Manager, Brad Herbert, has been a long time employee who came onboard with Lazenby Equipment from our Landscape/Lawn maintance company where he was our head foreman. Brad has tremendous knowledge of outdoor power equipment & gained most of this knowledge using the equipment during the years of Lazenbys Landscaping.
Jimmie Clark is our lead salesman and assists with website functionality, outside sales, & marketing. Jimmie has done a wonderful job helping our company organize open house events, radio interviews, radio ads, local exhibits, fairs, & entertainment.
Our Parts/Service Manager, Phillip Lazenby, has been working in the family business since he was 16 year old. Phillip also helped with the Lazenbys Landscaping crew during the summers & after school. Through the years Phillip has gained experience in all aspects of the company including general labor, paint/body work, accounting,sales, web-site construction & mechanics. Phillip earned the "Star Chapter Agribusinessman" award from the Bradford County FFA in high school and went on to study business at SantaFe College in Gainesville, FL.
Our Parts & Service department is ran by John Taylor(JT) and Kyle McDonald. JT started in 2009 and has worked in the parts & service industry most of his life. JT was a Parts Manager at a Industrial John Deere dealership. Kyle McDonald started in March of 2011. Kyle was previously a Service Writer/Manager at a trucking shop in Wyoming.
Shop forman and head technician is Jacob Swords, he has been with the company since 2003. Technician, John King has also been working with us since 2004. Both techs stay up to date with the latest diagnostic tools and service schools offered from all our OPE suppliers. You can read more about our service department, click here.
Office Manager, Emily Mccarter started in 2005. Emily controls all aspects of office operations and finances. Office Assistant, Ashely Matuse, has been assisting Emily and also helping all of us since 2009.

We believe in "No-Frills" pricing, our pricing is straight forward and easy. We do not charge extra for dealer prep, dealer freight, dealer set-up, or try to hide any pricing in any way.
